INFOSYS Fellowships in Public Health

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) supported by the Infosys Foundation announces the institution of INFOSYS Fellowships in Public Health for Indian Students pursuing Masters in Public Health (MPH) at the Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs), institutions of higher learning established by PHFI. The objective of the fellowships is to identify and train 25 MPH graduates to meaningfully engage with grass-roots NGOs, to strengthen and bring value to NGO activities and contribute towards community development. After a detailed selection process, the fellowship will provide an opportunity for meritorious students to apply their knowledge and gain hands on field experience in public health through placement ina reputed NGO working in the field of public health in India.

Under the current arrangement, there will be 25 INFOSYS Fellowships offered over two cycles. In the first cycle that will commence from the current academic year 2016 – 17 there will be 10 Fellowships awarded. The remaining 15 Fellowships will be offered in the next cycle 2017 – 18.

INFOSYS Fellowships are open to the students of MPH Program at the Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPH) at Delhi, Gandhinagar and Hyderabad where the MPH Program is currently being offered. Preference will be given to students coming from rural background and women candidates.

The students selected for the fellowships will be called ‘INFOSYS Fellows in Public Health’ and will be entitled to:

Tuition fee waiver for the entire MPH Program for 2 years at the concerned IIPH and
After successful completion of the MPH program, placement in the identified NGO working for public health in India for a period of two years with an attractive salary support package of INR 50,000/- per month.
