Duration of Appointment

Initially for one year, extendable up to the project duration based on satisfactory performance and availability of funds. Student may also get chance to register for PhD as per university norms.

 

Essential Qualifications

Master’s degree in Pharmacy / Molecular Biology / Genetics / Life Sciences or equivalent from a reputed institute/ university approved by PCI/UGC/CSIR/ICMR.
Desirable Qualifications / Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with hands-on experience and prior exposure in the following:

In-vitro Techniques

·      Mammalian cell culture

·      Stem cell and iPSC culture and maintenance

In-vivo Techniques

·  Handling of wild-type and transgenic animals

·  Stereotaxic surgery

·  Behavioral studies related to motor disorders, anxiety, depression, and learning

Molecular & Imaging Techniques

·  Western blotting

·  RT-PCR / qPCR

·  Immunofluorescence

·  Immunocytochemistry (ICC)

·  Immunohistochemistry (IHC)

·  siRNA-based gene modulation

·  Handling of human/patient samples (where applicable)

·  Very good scientific writing and communication skills

 

Nature of Work

The selected candidates will work in a highly interdisciplinary environment, involving collaboration with:

Medical College and Hospital
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Machine Learning (ML)
Robotics and computational biology groups
The project integrates in-silico, in-vitro, in-vivo, and patient-derived sample analyses for theragnostic development in Parkinson’s disease.

 

Fellowship / Emoluments

₹43000.00 (Consolidated)
Fellowship is project-based and non-transferable.
Age Limit: 35 Years (Max.)
