Everything You Need to Know About the NEET 2025 Exam
What comes at the beginning of any competitive level exam is the confidence that every aspirant needs to own! As the NEET exam is one of the toughest to be held every year for aspiring medical students in India, it’s needed that they learn everything prior to their final day.
Every year, there are a lot of changes and updates that tend to occur with every national level exam. Similarly, the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET 2025 also comes with several updates and important details that candidates need to be aware of. Key Changes and Updates for NEET 2025
It’s important to note that the core structure of NEET exam remains the same, but there are some updates and changes for the 2025 session that must be aware of:
- Exam Centers Increased: The NTA has decided to increase the number of exam centres across the country in order to accommodate a high volume of applicants.
- Digital Admit Cards: This year will be the introduction of digital admit cards for students appearing for the exam.
- Revised Syllabus: Not much, but a little tweaking has been done to the syllabus for the NEET exam that’s aligned with the latest NCERT curriculum.
Exam Pattern
The exam pattern for NEET 2025 remains almost the same as previous years. For revision, applicants can go through NEET mock test sample papers to be learned with the pattern.
- Mode of Examination: offline exam with pen & paper.
- Duration: 3 hours.
- Number of Questions: 200 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) with 180 to be answered.
- Sections: Physics, Chemistry, & Biology
Syllabus
Like every year, the syllabus for NEET 2025 will consist of: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. More so, you can go through the NEET question bank to have better knowledge on the syllabus and format.
- Physics: Laws of Motion, Thermodynamics, Electrodynamics, Optics, and Modern Physics.
- Chemistry: Atomic Structure, Chemical Bonding, Thermodynamics, Organic Chemistry, and Environmental Chemistry.
- Biology: Cell Structure, Genetics, Human Physiology, Plant Physiology, Ecology, and Environment.
Eligibility Criteria
There are certain criteria that candidates must fulfil in order to appear for NEET 2025.
- Age Limit: The candidate must be at least 17 years while applying for the exam. The upper age limit is 25 years for general category and 30 years for others.
- Educational Qualification: It is required for appearing candidates to complete (or appearing) Class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as main subjects.
