Allocation of Seats at IIP: The seats for every academic year are as follows:
Mumbai – 280 Seats
Delhi – 100 Seats
Kolkata – 80 Seats
Hyderabad – 40 Seats
Seat reservations are as per the Government norms as below:
OBC – 27%
SC – 15%
ST – 7.5%

Eligibility: Fresh Graduate / Graduate in Science / Engineering / Technology who have completed their education in the following area of specialization from recognized university or AICTE approved institution with minimum second class and maximum age of 30 years as on 31/05/2017 with age relaxation of 03 years for OBC and 05 years for SC/ST are eligible to apply.
B. Sc. – Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Material Science, Bio-Technology, Zoology, Botany, Agricultural Sciences, Horticultural Sciences, Veterinary sciences, Dairy science, Food Science & Applied Nutrition, Electronics, Environment Science, Polymer chemistry / science, Fishery Science, Nano Science.
B. Pharm. Courses or 3 year B. Sc. in Pharmaceutical sciences.
B .Tech. / B.E. Courses – Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Civil, Bio Chemical / Bio Technology, Food Technology, Pulp & Paper Technology, Plastics Technology, Polymer Technology, Oils & surfactants Technology, Computer Tech / IT, Agricultural engineering, Dairy Technology /engineering, Pharmaceutical Technology, Green Technology, Nano Technology or any other Engineering / Technology.

The admission to this Programme will be done according to the following two steps:

  • Written examination
  • Personal Interview

STEP:1 Selection Procedure

Written Examination A candidate seeking admission to the PGDP Course will be required to appear in the written Entrance Examination which will comprise of multiple choice questions. The syllabus for the written test is at the graduate level and the subjects include Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Engineering.
Entrance examination is of 02 hours duration.Question paper consist of 80 questions, 20 questions each in four sections namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Engineering. Students need to attempt total 20 questions out of 80 questions with a maximum score of 100. The candidate has the option to choose questions, however exceeding a fixed limit of 20 questions initial 20 attempts will be consider for score.
The entrance examination will be conducted on 15/06/2017 at Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Chennai and Hyderabad centres of the Institute. The Institute has the discretion to fix minimum qualifying marks for the examination and short list the candidates who will be eligible for further consideration for admission. Application for admission to the course needs to be submitted on or before 09/06/2017 along with attested copies of mark sheets and other credentials.

STEP:2 Personal Interview
Candidates, who clear the written examination as above, will be called for Personal Interview which will be held at the Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi and Hyderabad centers of the Institute. The Institute has the discretion to fix minimum qualifying marks for Personal Interview which will make a candidate eligible for further consideration for admission.

The national selection of candidates for admission to the course will be done in the order of their merit which will be based on the aggregate of marks calculated in each case according to the following weightage:
Marks obtained in 10th Class/Matriculation : 10%
Marks obtained in 12th Class/Sr. Secondary : 10%
Marks obtained in Graduation level : 30%
Marks obtained in the Entrance Examination : 30%
Marks obtained in Personal Interview : 20%
Display of 1st list will be based on the 1st round cut-off.
The 2nd list display is on the basis of 2nd round cut-off.
Further lists will be displayed on the availability of seats when necessary.

Onetime fee (payable at the time of admission) Rs. 55,000*
Fees per semester Rs. 65,000
(Tuition Fee + Exam Fee) Rs. (64,000 + 1000)
Refundable Deposit (payable at the time of admission) Rs. 3,000
Hostel fees (optional) only in Mumbai
Payable at the time of admission Registration fee (Rs. 1000) + Deposit (Refundable Rs. 1000)] Rs. 2,000
Fee per semester Rs. 20,000
Fees for application form/ syllabus/prospectus/set of previous year’s question papers Rs. 500
