Essential Qualifications:
• 1st Class M.Sc MLT/M.Sc [in Virology/ Microbiology/Medical Microbiology/Biotechnology
/Parasitology/Biochemistry]/ M.Tech (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics from recognized university/
Institute) with 4 years R&D / Teaching experience* in the Virology/Microbiology/Medical
Microbiology/Parasitology/VRDL after obtaining post graduate degree.
Or
• 2nd Class M.Sc MLT/M.Sc [in Virology/ Microbiology/Medical Microbiology/Biotechnology
/Parasitology/Biochemistry]/ M.Tech (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics from recognized university/
Institute) with PhD with 4 years R&D / Teaching experience in the Virology/Microbiology/Medical
Microbiology/Parasitology/VRDL after obtaining post graduate degree.
Desirable Qualifications:
i. Additional post-doctoral research / training experience in molecular microbiology/ PCR/Realtime PCR/
Sequencing/ NGS/genotyping works etc. in recognized institute(s).
ii. Knowledge of Computer Applications or Business Intelligence tools / Data Management.
iii. Knowledge of applied bioinformatics (in sequencing technology)
iv. Candidates with PhD degree will be preferred for engagement.
v. Original article Publication (Medline/PubMed central indexed journal) in area of
virology/microbiology/life science/relevant field (preference in this order).
Emoluments (Norms for Salary) in Rs: 67000/- HRA
Upper Age Limit (in Years): 40
*Increment as admissible as per DST norms.
** Salary Consolidatedwithout any allowances.
#Note:
a. The HRA will be admissible as per the classification of the city where the lab is located
b. Increment rate will be 5% after every 02 years as per DST norms.
c. If due to revised structure, any official (Contractual) gets less than what is currently being paid to him, due to any reason, the existing pay will be protected till he/she reaches the same level under the revised structure.
d. Any other allowance if admissible as per funding agency will be provided accordingly.
Terms and conditions:
I. Duration of Employment:
a. One Year (12 Months) extendable up to 3 years, depending on the candidate’s performance
review [by the Principal Investigator (PI)/ co-PI], requirement in above project and budget
grant from the funding agency.
b. At time of applying for above mentioned posts, the applicant shall be required to submit duly
filled in and signed undertaking (as per annexure 2) along with application form (as per
annexure 3)
c. The engagement to the above-mentioned post is purely on time bound contract basis and the
competent authority reserve the right to dispense with the engagement, at any time without
assigning any reasons.
d. The engagement on the above-mentioned post will automatically cease on the end date of
engagement. The incumbent shall not have no right to claim for further engagement. In any
case, whatsoever, any request/ representation in this regard will not be entertained.
e. The engagement can be terminated during the tenure at any time by giving one month notice
on either side. (the mandate of one month notice from either side will not be applicable
competent authority desired to close Regional level VRDL).
f. The appointment to above post will not vest any right to claim by the candidate for regular
appointment or permanent absorption in AIIMS Bilaspur/DHR or continued contractual
appointment.

V. No individual intimation will be sent by AIIMS, Bilaspur, HP. It will be responsibility of applicants to visit the above-mentioned website regularly to see any update.
VI. Other Conditions:
a. Age/ Education qualification will be considered till the late date of the advertisement.
b. It is the candidate responsibility to ascertain and ensure their eligibility as per the prescribed
qualification and experience mentioned in annexure 1 for respective post. If any declaration given or
information furnished by the candidate proves false or if the candidate is found to have willfully
suppressed any material or information, the candidate will be liable for removal from service and also
such other action as deemed necessary by the Institute. Even after qualifying in the selection process the
candidate may be rendered disqualified at time of document verification if the candidate does not fulfill
essential eligibility criteria.
c. The prescribed qualification is minimum and mere possessing the same does not entitle any candidate
for selection.
d. The incomplete application or application not accompanied by following document will be summarily
rejected: (Original to be produced at time of interview)
• One recent passport size photograph affixed on application form
• NOC (In case working in government job)
• Set of self-attested photocopies of relevant documents i.e.
o date of birth certificate,
o Educational/ Professional qualification certificate,
o experience certificate,
o category certificate (Date of issue of certificate should not be earlier than one year on
closing date of advertisement),
o registration of qualifying degree/diploma from the statutory council/body as
applicable, first page of publications ONLY PubMed Index (if any)
o Identify proof like Aadhar Card/PAN/Voter ID etc
e. The leave entitlement of the appointee shall be governed by terms of the leave policy of the funding
agency as amended time to time.
f. No hostel or any other accommodation will be provided by AIIMS Bilaspur.
g. The appointment will be full time. The private practice and canvassing of any kind will not be permitted.
h. Appointed candidate have to work in shift (Even night depending upon the need), can be posted at any
place in the institute, including the field visit.
i. Appointed candidate is expected to conform to the rules of conduct and discipline as applicable to the
institute employee.
j. The decision of the competent authority regarding the selection of the candidate will be final and no
representation will be entertained in this regard.
k. The competent authority reserve right for any amendment, cancellation and change to the advertisement
as a whole or in part without assigning any reason or giving notice.
l. The mode of selection will be walk in interview and or a written test followed by interview.
The date and schedule of written test and/ or interview and/ or skill test will be published in the institute website. This will be conducted at AIIMS, Bilaspur, HP. No TA/DA will be paid for it.
n. No candidate will be considered in absentia.
o. All disputes will be subjected to the jurisdiction of court of law at Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.

C. Remarks*
i. PhD in the topic related to Virology/ Microbiology/Medical Microbiology/Parasitology shall be treated
equivalent to three years’ experience.
