The Rajiv Gandhi Science Talent Research Fellowship from Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) has its main objective of presenting budding and inspired scientists with a golden opportunity of keeping themselves abreast of the ground breaking work done by scientists in India.
The fellowship gives an opportunity to students to carry out research activities in science and engineering. This scholarship and fellowships are for Postgraduate and Research Scholars. A total of about 100 Fellowships are awarded, out of which 15 best students are named as Rajiv Gandhi Science Talent Research Fellows. The evaluation is done on the basis of project reports.

Eligibility criteria
- Science:Students presently studying in I, II and III year B.Sc., B.V.Sc., M.B.B.S., B.Pharma, and I and II Year of M.Sc. Course., Integrated M.Sc any year.
- Engineering:II and III year of B.E. and B.Tech.
Benefits of scholarship/Award
Rs.5,000/- per month and travel support as per Government of India norms.
Selection process
Students selected under this programme are placed with scientists at the Centre or elsewhere in India, for two months during April-July.
About 15 students will be chosen as Rajiv Gandhi Science Talent Research Fellows based on completed project reports.
