Call for Applications for 6-12 month Skill Development/ Dissertation Training Programme at CSIR – Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Jammu.
Students as well as professionals who are pursuing or completed M.Sc / M.Pharm/ M.Tech/ B.Pharm/ B.Tech in any branch of Life Sciences/ Biological Sciences/ Chemical Sciences / Pharmaceutical Sciences are eligible to apply for the Skill Development/ Dissertation Training Programme.
The Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (IIIM), Jammu is a national Institute of the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) of India, with primary focus of research on drug discovery from natural products -medicinal plants and microbial species. The Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at IIIM, Jammu is a state-of-the-art national facility for manufacturing herbal drugs, phytopharmaceuticals & traditional medicine under GMP conditions. The research at TBI focuses on microbial biodiversity leading to the production of novel bioactive compounds for human health and biofertilizers, biocides and gluconates for enhanced agricultural yield. The NABL accredited laboratory conducts quality control and quality assurance of agricultural produce, nutraceuticals, medicinal and aromatic plants and herbal formulations. IIIM-TBI also has a well-equipped GLP in-vivo laboratory to conduct preclinical studies for herbal drugs.
The Skill Development Programme at CSIR IIIM-TBI is being offered in the following areas –

v Natural Product Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry
v GLP Animal Facility
v Plant Biotechnology
v Kilo Lab Facility for complex chemistry
In addition to laboratory training, trainees will be exposed to GMP, GLP & NABL accredited facilities and handling high-end infrastructure & equipments and also gain information about mode of mechanism, practical applications, scientific ethics and standards for maintaining GLP and GMP conditions in the laboratory.
