Visioning Workshop for Behavioural Insight Unit at IIHMR University, Jaipur
IIHMR University Jaipur, in collaboration with UNICEF, organized a Visioning Workshop to deliberate on the establishing a Behavioural Insights Unit (BIU) at IIHMR University, Jaipur. Dr. P.R. Sodani, President, IIHMR University, Jaipur, inaugurated the workshop. Dr. Sodani, in his address, shared that behavioural insights are principles derived from behavioural sciences, which are used to understand how people make decisions and how they can be influenced to make better decisions. Policy-makers and programme managers can design more effective interventions by applying behavioural insights to achieve their intended outcomes. Ms Isabelle Bardem, Chief of UNICEF Rajasthan, highlighted the importance of the behaviour insights unit in policy planning and programme management in health and related sectors.
Key stakeholders from IIHMR University, UNICEF, Centre for Social and Behaviour Change (CSBC), Ashoka University and consulting organisation Finalmile attended the workshop.
