NEET 2025: Things Every Aspirant Should Do Before the Exam
The NEET exam is one of the biggest tests for medical students in India. If you’re preparing for NEET 2026, these last few weeks are very important. Here’s what you should do to score well.
Complete Your Syllabus First
Before anything else, finish your entire syllabus. Go through Physics, Chemistry, and Biology completely. If some topics are still left, finish them now. Don’t leave any chapter incomplete because every topic can appear in the exam.
Practice Mock Tests Regularly
Mock tests are your best friends. They show you the real exam experience. Get a Biology mock test book for NEET and practice as many tests as possible. Take at least 2-3 full mock tests every week. This will help you manage time better and reduce exam fear.
Mock tests also help identify the topics you are good at and which require more attention. Verify responses after each test.
Solve More Questions
The more questions you solve, the better you become. Use the best Biology question bank for NEET to practice different types of questions. Biology questions are mostly based on facts, so solving questions of different types helps in better remembering the concepts.
Try to solve a minimum of 50 questions daily from each subject. It helps to build your speed and accuracy.
Focus on High-Weightage Topics
Some topics give you more marks than others. Focus more time on these important chapters:
| Subject | High-Weightage Topics | Questions (Approx.) |
| Physics | Mechanics, Optics, Current Electricity, Modern Physics | 15-20 each |
| Chemistry | Organic Chemistry, Chemical Bonding, Coordination Compounds | 12-15 each |
| Biology | Human Physiology, Genetics, Ecology, Plant Physiology | 20-25 each |
Learn From Your Mistakes
You learn something new with every mistake. Make a notebook of mistakes. Note down all the questions that you got wrong and find out the logic behind them. Then again, do the same kind of questions. This will help you not to make the same mistakes in the real exam.
Prepare Your Study Material
Organize all your notes, formulas, and important points. Make short notes for quick revision. Keep all formulas in one place. If you’re planning for next year too, check NEET books 2026 for updated content and new question patterns.
Master Time Management
NEET gives you 3 hours and 20 minutes for 200 questions. That’s less than 1 minute per question. Practice finishing papers on time:
- Biology: 90 minutes (90 questions)
- Physics: 55 minutes (50 questions)
- Chemistry: 55 minutes (50 questions)
Always keep 20-30 minutes for revision at the end.
Keep Documents Ready
Don’t wait for the last day. Prepare these things now:
- Admit card (download and print 2 copies)
- ID proof (Aadhar card or school ID)
- Passport photos
- Simple stationery (pen, pencil, eraser)
Keep everything in one folder so you don’t forget anything.
Take Care of Yourself
Your health is very important. Study hard but also rest well:
- Sleep 7-8 hours every night
- Eat healthy food and drink water
- Take short breaks during study
- Do light exercise or walk for 20 minutes daily
- Avoid junk food and too much caffeine
A tired body can’t help you think clearly in the exam.
Stay Positive and Confident
Believe in yourself. You deserve it. Don’t stress too much. Talk to your parents or friends if you are anxious. Away from the people outside who made your fear.
You can do this. 2026 will be your NEET year.
