Educational Qualifications: I. Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/MVSc or Bachelor’s
degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent; and II. Four
years; experience in Research and Development in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and
Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services
OR
Doctoral Degree in Science/Engineering/Technology/Pharma/MD/MS from a recognized University or
equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications: Candidate having experience in virology field and to work under BSL3 virology lab. Candidates having experience in influenza biology and virology assays are encouraged to apply. Alternatively, a Candidate having experience in genomics (NGS, RNA seq, ATAC-seq, single cell RNA
seq etc.) may also be selected. The candidate should be able to design an analysis pipeline and be able to
work in collaboration with the wet lab environment.
Candidates who have submitted/writing their PhD thesis and waiting for the viva are encouraged to apply.
Emoluments: Rs. 42000/- per month plus 27% HRA (The selected candidate will draw emoluments as per
DST OM dated 26.06.2023)
Job description & Desired Knowledge: The Senior Project Associate will carry out experiments related to the work element of the project such as immunogenicity and efficacy studies of flu vaccine candidates in the NHP-ABSL3 facility, and perform viral assays (HAI, MN, ELLA, etc). If the person is an expert in bioinformatics, he/she will analyze the genomics and proteomics data generated during the project.
General Terms & Conditions:
1. The candidates selected for the above posts will be on contract for one year or duration of the project whichever is shorter, at a time.
2. No hostel/ housing facility will be provided.
3. Applicants may clearly mention the category they belong to i.e. SC/ST/OBC/PH and attach documentary proof of the same.
4. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview, if called for.
5. Apart from sending application in the prescribed format given below, candidates should send complete Curriculum Vitae along with the names of three referees. Curriculum Vitae should contain details of the experimental expertise and list of publications.
