Qualification:

bioanalytical methods of APIs/formulations, Pharmacokinetic studies, metabolite identification and bio-distribution; PK/PD modelling for early drug discovery and development program, animal handling and
thorough understanding of drug delivery. Job Requirement: The candidate will be responsible for development and validation of analytical and
bioanalytical methods for APIs/ formulations from blood/plasma/ serum/tissue samples, design and conduct of pharmacokinetics studies in rodents and non-human primates, pharmacokinetic modeling, metabolite identification, in vitro ADME studies, development of formulations and delivery systems in line with CDRI mandate and provide support for drug discovery projects.

Experience in the use of in silico modeling tools for hypothesis- driven design of novel compounds and exploration of structure -activity relationships. Experience in structural determination using spectroscopic techniques as well as knowledge of related purification methods.A record of publications and /or patent applications demonstrating proficiency in synthetic chemistry/ medicinal chemistry.
Job Requirement: Design and synthesize novel chemical compounds to optimize potency, selectivity,
pharmacokinetics, and in vivo efficacy. Analyze the data sets to generate structure- activity relationships within the chemical library. Interface with biological and pharmacological collaborators in the testing and
development of interesting compounds. The candidate is expected to take up teaching assignments in Pre -PhD courses too. Candidates are expected to write R&D projects in the respective areas for extramural

Qualification:
Essential: Ph.D. (Submitted) in the area of computational Chemistry/Molecular Biophysics or related area
with focus on Chemi-informatics/pharmaco-informatics or equivalent.
Desirable: Experience in Computational Chemistry methodologies (structure – and ligand – based approaches & virtual screening, reaction modeling and computer assisted synthesis planning), AI & ML usage in drug discovery space. Experience in molecular dynamic simulations, QSAR and toxicity predictions, free energy calculation, force field development, density functional theory, quantum chemistry,
and hybrid QM/MM simulation. Experience in Chem -Informatics toolkits and packages (e.g. Schrodinger, Discovery Studio, ChemAxon etc), Proficiency in working in a Unix/Linux environment. Competency. Experience in programming, code development, and software architecture. A record of publications and/or
patent applications demonstrating proficiency in Computational Chemistry.
Job Requirement: Intiate Development of New models, algorithms and methodologies to align with
the latest developments in the field. Collaborate with colleagues in medicinal chemistry and other teams
for providing scientific knowledge obtained through molecular modelling, supporting small molecule drug
discovery. Identify areas of application for AI in Chemistry and related Lifesciences, and develop novel
algorithms to drive data – driven drug discovery.

Job Requirement: The incumbent is expected to plan and execute the breeding programme of rodents and non-rodents. The incumbent should also look after the daily management of the laboratory animal facility, participate in health monitoring of animals and experimentation.
