Job Description:
• Performing systematic reviews on costing and cost effectiveness studies
• Conducting economic evaluations of health interventions and public health programs
• Designing and implementing cost-effectiveness and cost-benefit analyses studies.
• Developing and supporting policy formulation through health financing research
• Collaborating with epidemiologists, statisticians, and public health experts
• Publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals and presenting at national/international forums
• Working knowledge on cost-analysis & economic decision modelling in MS Excel, R or Tree Age.
• Develop budget impact modelling and design resource allocation strategies to optimise Healthcare spending.
Essential Qualifications:
Medical Stream:
MBBS / BVSc / BDS with three years’ post qualification experience.
OR
MBBS / BVSc / BDS + Post Graduate Degree (MD/MVSc./ MDS/MPH) or any equivalent degree, including integrated PG degrees
OR
MBBS/BVSc/ BDS with PhD
Non-Medical Stream:
Post Graduate degree from a recognized University in Economics with specialization in Health Economics, Pharmacology, Pharmacy, Public Health, Biotechnology, Biostatistics/statistics or related disciplines with three years post qualification Experience or PhD
Desired Qualification:
• MD/MS, MPH, M.Sc. or PhD in Health Economics/Public Health
• Expertise in economic modeling and HTA guideline development
• Proficiency in tools like TreeAge, Excel or R
• Strong publication record in HTA or health economics
• Experience in policy engagement and capacity building
