Description  :

Aims and Scope of the School:

This IBRO-APRC School on Molecular Basis of Neuroinflammation Mediated Neurodegeneration would create awareness among young researchers to carry out research activities as well as create career option for them in the future so that they could offer better solution(s) on different neurodegenerative disorders.

Description:

This proposed IBRO-APRC School will emphasize on the molecular basis of neuroinflammatory cascade and its regulation in neurodegenerative disorders. A group of 30 Ph.D. and postdoctoral students will be chosen, consisting 15 students from India while the 15 others from Asia Pacific region. Lectures, Group discussion, Presentation by participants and hands on training in well-defined laboratory projects will be organized in the 14 days of IBRO School. Laboratory techniques for analysis of inflammatory molecules shall include Immunohistochemistry, Western blotting, qRT-PCR, Confocal microscopy and HPLC. Similarly, Software based studies i.e. In-silico studies such as docking studies shall be used to analyse the immune regulatory molecules and their interactions.

Who should apply to this School?

The target audience would be the researchers in neuroscience. Senior Ph.D. students and post-doc fellows having at least one research article in the related field from Asia Pacific region will only be considered.

What costs will be covered for selected applicants?

Travel through shortest route, meals and accommodation will be covered.
