Description :
FACULTY OF PHARMACEUTICAL SCIENCES: PES College of Pharmacy, a premier institution of pharmacy education in India, started in the year 1982 has developed into a center for advanced studies and research in several areas of Pharmaceutical sciences. The research laboratories, workshops, library of the college are all well equipped with modern facilities suitable for learning and research. This institution now is a constituent department of PES University.
DEPARTMENT OF PHARMACOLOGY
The department of Pharmacology was started in 2005.
Subsequently, department grew in several dimensions of academic excellence with time. Department offers M.Pharm (Pharmacology) four semester (two years) course. All the laboratories of the department are approved for carrying out research, leading to M.Pharm by PES University, Karnataka, Bengaluru. The department offers consultancy research projects for various institutions and industry.
THE WORKSHOP
Various such previous workshops were conducted and were found very much helpful, thus much more detailed workshop is organized. This workshop will discuss the modern basic techniques involved in animal experimentation. The workshop will focus on research projects and research avenues in the context of Preclinical studies.
OBJECTIVE
1. Introduce the basic techniques involved in the pre-clinical studies.
2. Impart theoretical knowledge on the current techniques involved in the Pharmacologyexperiments.
3. Present the recent developments in designing the pre-clinical experiments.
